Framework for sparring sessions with founders and operators

About our framework

Rollercoaster. That’s the life of a start-up founder and operator.

It’s a constant act of juggling conflicting priorities. Fight fire A. Miss out on fire B.

Benefits and risks change all the time and information is either overwhelming or underwhelming.

You finally sat down and made a plan? That’s just when unknown unknowns love to catch you off guard. Yes, unknown unknows…wonderful surprises that no one needs, and no one thought about.

Down the drain goes your plan. To quote Mike Tyson: “Everybody has a plan until they get hit.” We know how it feels. Because we got hit. And that’s when we decided to build this coaching framework.

The framework is a straightforward blueprint for helping start-up founders and executives stay on track. It is designed to help you focus on what matters most for the business right now.

What matters most? It all starts with your mental health. Building and scaling take a toll on you. You will feel overwhelmed. You may want to give up. Unfortunately, that’s the end for many start-ups. You must keep going. The good news: It’s helpful to open up to someone.

Next on the agenda: The things YOU want to discuss. Only you know what you are going through. Even the most emphatic people aren’t living your life. Tell your coach what’s top of your mind. How you are planning to take care of it. And identify the pros and cons of alternative strategies together.

What’s left? Execution. Relentless execution. Because execution beats strategy. Any day. You need to commit to goals on a week-by-week basis. And then don’t let yourself be distracted by short-term interests and needs.

We hope you enjoy this framework. Get in touch via email, WhatsApp, or one of our other channels for ideas and questions.
